There was a lot of activity from the English and German media around New Year’s. Harry Kane, as usual, made headlines with buckets and buckets, but this winter there has also been a certain buyout clause in Kane’s contract that has made headlines. This clause has left the exit door open for the English goal machine, the Bayern management has not been entirely confident that the 32-year-old would not be persuaded to exit. Now the Bayern bosses breathe a sigh of relief.
In the Bundesliga club’s current contract with Harry Kane, there was a buyout clause for the summer of 2026. It was set at around €65 million, a sum the rivals could easily justify investing in the goal guarantee. Now it has expired, reports Honorary President of Bavaria and seventh father of the house, Uli Hoeness.

“I definitely want to extend Harry Kane. He is something of a lucky match for us. Since his buyout clause for the summer of 2026 has now expired, and his contract runs until the summer of 2027, we are not under any pressure at the moment,” Hoeness told Bild.
With 126 goals in 131 games in the Bayern shirt, there is little doubt that both Kane and the Bayern Munich team are very happy. An extension is now being negotiated.
