While the chairman of Bayer Leverkusen has been crystal clear that Florian Wirtz is not going anywhere this summer, regardless of the price, the attempts to sign him continue.
Most recently, Manchester City are trying to make a move with midfielder James McAtee plus a chunk of cash for Florian Wirtz. While the 22-year-old could be on his way to Bayer Leverkusen, we think the only thing they will get in return from the German club is around €20 million. Previously, the Daily Mail reported that City could be willing to let McAtee go to secure Leverkusen’s star player Florian Wirtz (21). But Sky Germany does not mention Wirtz as part of a potential deal in its latest information.
McAtee is currently under contract with City until the summer of 2026, but has had limited game time this season with only seven goals in 24 games.
