Barcelona have reportedly made a proposal to Manchester United regarding a permanent transfer for Marcus Rashford. – They hope to land a “two for one” deal rather than having to trigger the call option they have in their loan agreement.
Rashford joined the Blaugrana on loan for the 2025/26 season and has been in excellent form, scoring 10 goals and providing 13 assists across all competitions.

In the 24th La Liga round, Barcelona have the hanging match on Monday. – Then they visit the Estadi Municipal de Montilivi in the meeting with Girona.
The club has an option to buy Rashford permanently for an amount of £26 million, and everything has indicated that Barcelona will activate this clause. A recent report from SPORT claimed that the deal only lacked “official confirmation” and that Rashford appeared to be signing a three-year contract.
The source noted that Rashford has enjoyed his time at the Catalan giants and wants to extend his stay, and Barcelona are happy to get him at a “reasonable and affordable price”.

In a new development, however, it has emerged that Barca are looking at alternative ways to secure Rashford’s services.
According to Football 365, citing reports in Spain, Barca have offered two players to United as a way to try and bring down the price and possibly not even have to pay anything for the 28-year-old.
Centre-back Ronald Araujo is one of the players suggested, and the club “would be happy with a simple transfer”. In addition, the club is said to be willing to ‘do without’ midfielder Marc Casado, who has made 66 appearances for Barca.
Rashford’s Barca future may depend on new president
Rashford has described his experience in La Liga as “fantastic”, but according to The i Paper, the upcoming presidential election in Barca could play an important role in the Englishman’s future.
Joan Laporta has had to withdraw in order to be able to run again and is a supporter of Rashford, along with sporting director Deco, who has praised how he has “contributed a lot to the team”.
However, fellow candidate Victor Font is said to have said that he wants to replace Deco if he wins the election.
While a return to United seems out of the question even with Michael Carrick coming in to replace Ruben Amorim, another stay at Aston Villa could be possible.
Villa, where Rashford played in the spring of 2024 after being frozen out, are still interested and are “monitoring the situation”.
Under Unai Emery, Rashford scored four times and recorded six assists in 17 appearances across all competitions.
