Without periods of injury, we think England international striker Tammy Abraham would be much bigger than where he is now and out of reach for Besiktas manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

If the 27-year-old stays on his feet and in shape, we can easily see great things from him, especially under the leadership of the Norwegian manager, who in his time was one of the world’s very best finishers.

Former Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, 27, is set for a permanent move from Roma to Turkish side Besiktas.

The England international (11 games) spent last season on loan at AC Milan, where he scored 10 goals. Abraham is now on his way to Turkey to complete the formalities related to a transfer worth approximately £17 million to the Turkish Super Lig club.

Besiktas posted a video on social media of Abraham on board a plane bound for Istanbul, with the following message from the striker himself:
“Hello, Black Eagles – I’m coming to you! See you at the airport today.”

The club confirms the transfer

Besiktas announced the planned transfer in a statement on the club’s website:
“Negotiations have started with the player and his club AS Roma SPA regarding the transfer of professional footballer Kevin Oghenetega Tamaraebi Bakumo-Abraham.”

Abraham’s career

Abraham previously had a loan spell at Aston Villa before signing for Roma in the summer of 2021 in a transfer worth £34 million. Under then-manager José Mourinho, he helped the club win the Conference League.

Now a new chapter awaits in Turkey, where he will be part of Besiktas’ attacking line ahead of the upcoming season.
