New Besiktas boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has told the club to sign a Manchester United star before the transfer window is over.
After leaving Old Trafford back in 2021, Solskjaer returned to management earlier this month when he was appointed as the new boss of Turkish Super Lig giants Besiktas.
The 51-year-old put pen to paper on an 18-month deal, and became the club’s new permanent manager since Dutch Giovanni van Bronckhorst left in November. A statement from the club read: “We believe Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will make significant contributions to our club and we warmly welcome him to the Besiktas family, wishing him great success.”
With just over a week left in the transfer window, it has been claimed that Solskjaer wants to add a United player to his squad. As reported by AS, the Norwegian wants to sign Red Devils midfielder Casemiro, who has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
After a fine first season at United following a £70 million move from Real Madrid, Casemiro has struggled. As a result, the Brazilian finds himself behind the likes of Manuel Ugarte and Toby Collyer in Ruben Amorim’s priorities.
