Manchester United paid Dutch giants Ajax an unimaginable €95 million in the summer of 2022 for Antony and gave him a salary of £200,000 a week. The blunder came to satisfy manager Erik ten Hag, who they also bought free from Ajax.
Transfermarkt believes that the Brazilian right winger is now only worth 20 million euros. What happens now is uncertain, Manchester United are trying to sell Antony, but so far no one has taken the bait. But instead of working intensely to earn his wages at Old Trafford, he now spends his time arguing with his old club Ajax.

Algemeen Dagblad writes that Antony has sued Ajax before the KNVB’s arbitration court.
Ajax reacted to Antony as behavior in connection with the transfer to Manchester United. – Ajax rejected the first offer from Manchester United, it did not like Antony who did not show up for several training sessions. He was fined for that.
The fine of “several hundred thousand euros” has annoyed Antony, who is demanding the money back because he believes the staffs were illegitimate. The case is being heard by the Dutch Football Association’s (KNVB) arbitration court, where there will be a first meeting on Monday.
“But we will not make any further statements on the matter,” the spokesperson said, according to AD.
After Antony completed his transfer to Manchester United, he was completely reprimanded by Alfred Schreuder, then coach of Ajax, for his behaviour.
“What happened was shameful. Personally, I think it was bad. I’m also pissed off about it. As a coach, I get frustrated. I’m thinking: You’re just a fucking player,” Schreuder told Ziggo Sport.
Manchester United are hoping to get a sniff at a Saudi Arabian club, which would be a perfect fit for a player as keen on money as Antony.
