We knew something was up when Oscar Bobb was described by The Guardian as City’s biggest talent in the age group. Then came the climb in the academy to debut in the first team at the beginning of September 2023, two weeks later it was time for the Champions League debut.

This season, the 20-year-old is no longer considered by Guardiola as an academy player, but as a full member of the senior squad.

Now the next chapter is being written at City.

It is rare that we hear Pep Guardiola boasting as freely as when he talks about Oscar Bobb. Last Tuesday was the first Premier League match from the start against Brentford, last month’s match-winning goal against Newcastle was named Manchester City’s goal of the month. Now comes another reward for Bobb’s hard work and achievements in his debut season.

I am very proud to have signed a new contract with City, says Bobb to the club’s website.

“It’s an incredible environment and this is the best place for a young player. I have already learned so much from Pep, the coaching staff and my teammates”

A new contract has been signed with the world’s best club.

We find one word that covers what Bobb has achieved with Guardiola and the gang: Raw!
