For a few weeks, Manchester United seemed to have put their problems behind them, but then after a couple of draws, they lost again. – The demand for games in Europe for manager Ruben Amorim stands and right now they are outside.
Sportbible writes that Patrick Dorgu, who has had a varied success in the last 12 months since moving to Old Trafford, has liked a post he shouldn’t have liked.

Patrick Dorgu liked an Instagram post criticizing head coach Ruben Amorim, just days after a humiliating defeat to Everton. Manchester United suffered their fourth league defeat of the season on Monday night, when they lost 1-0 at home to ten-man Everton.
Idrissa Gueye was sent off after just 13 minutes for punching his teammate Michael Keane, but Everton took the lead just before the half-hour mark thanks to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
Despite having a numerical advantage for most of the game, United struggled to create chances and were booed off the pitch after full-time. Dorgu started Monday night’s game as a left wing-back, but was replaced by Diogo Dalot after 58 minutes after a difficult night.
Now, the Danish defender has caused controversy after liking an Instagram post criticizing Amorim and two of his teammates.
The post includes a screenshot of a comment on X that reads: “Any coach who sees Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes as a viable pivot pair is someone who is not serious.”

Will Patrick Dorgu be punished?
Liking posts criticising his manager could be seen as undermining the authority Amorim has tried to instill at Old Trafford since he took over just over a year ago.
Amorim’s predecessor Erik ten Hag dealt with similar situations and understood the importance of managing players’ activity on social media.
After Alejandro Garnacho was substituted at half-time during a game against Bournemouth in April 2024, he liked posts criticising the decision.
United described the incident as an “internal matter”, and Ten Hag confirmed that Garnacho apologized.
“Alejandro is a young player who has a lot to learn,” Ten Hag said. “He apologized for it, and after that we put it behind us.”
It is likely that United will also handle Dorgus’ activity internally.
Does Patrick Dorgu have a point?
The Instagram post that Dorgu liked criticized United’s midfield, which has been a problem position for several years.
Casemiro has improved this season, but at the age of 33 he struggles to last more than an hour.
Bruno Fernandes is naturally an attacking midfielder and may lack the discipline to play a more defensive, box-to-box role.
However, Amorim has limited options in midfield.
Kobbie Mainoo is very popular with the supporters, but has disappointed this season.
The England international came off the bench against Everton, but struggled to influence the game.
Meanwhile, Manuel Ugarte has struggled to adapt to the Premier League since moving from PSG in 2024.
Amorim previously coached Ugarte at Sporting CP and recently highlighted the Uruguayan’s need for improvement, especially in training.
