February 20, 2022. Not many people remember what they did that day, but for those who have followed Paul Pogba’s career, this was the day when the Frenchman scored for Manchester United in the 4-2 win against Leeds in the Premier League. The special thing about this goal, is that after this, it has gone straight south of Pogba and the last goal from the French world champion in a counting match. On Thursday, the nets fluttered again, admittedly against Brentford’s B-team in a friendly match, but worth highlighting.

Monaco faced Brentford’s second team, Brentford B, in a test match on Thursday, where Paul Pogba made his comeback from a serious injury that has kept him out since the beginning of December 2025. It ended with a positive comeback for the Frenchman, who got on the scoresheet during the match.

Pogba was on the pitch for 25 minutes of scoring, but could not prevent Brentford’s second team from running away with the 2-1 victory.

For the former doping-banned player, this must have been a real bright spot. You can say a lot about Paul Pogba, but giving up, it’s not in the Frenchman’s nature.
