Ludogorets appoints Per-Mathias Høgmo as head coach
The board of PFC Ludogorets officially announces the appointment of Per-Mathias Høgmo as head coach of the first team. The club chose the Norwegian coach as the most suitable for the team’s future development. The decision is driven by his extensive experience, disciplined work approach and successful results at both club and national team level.
Høgmo has a long coaching career, which includes positions at several leading Norwegian clubs, as well as at the Norwegian national team – from youth level to the men’s and women’s national teams. In 2006, he won the Norwegian championship with Rosenborg and participated in the Champions League group stage, where he after decisive wins and a draw against Olympiakos reached a match against Zenit in the playoffs of the Europa League. In 2022, he won the Swedish championship with Häcken, and the following season the Swedish Cup. With Häcken, he also participated in the Europa League group stage. An interesting fact from his career is that during the Olympics in Sydney in 2000, he became champion with Norway’s women’s national team.
Høgmo wants highly qualified specialists on his staff. Their names will be announced later.
Today, Saturday, Per-Mathias Høgmo will hold his first training with Ludogorets. Later in the day, at 18:30 in the “Flamingo” hall at the “Zoo” hotel in Sofia, the Norwegian specialist will be officially presented to the media. – So if you are nearby, stop by.
