Everyone knows that Erling Braut Haaland is a machine in front of goal. – He has proven that time and time again, the new thing we saw this weekend is his copy, his homage, to Peter Crouch’s iconic celebration. Move like a robot after scoring.
Erling Haaland continued his fantastic start to the season with two more goals against Bournemouth on Sunday.

The Manchester City striker even delivered an iconic goal celebration after opening the scoring at the Etihad Stadium. Haaland has now found the back of the net 13 times in just ten Premier League games this season.
It is only the third time a player has reached that number this early in a season, after Les Ferdinand in 1995/96 and Haaland himself three years ago. His first goal of the day came 17 minutes into the game when he ran away before sending the ball past Djordje Petrovic.

After the finish, the Norwegian celebrated with a robot dance, similar to Peter Crouch’s characteristic movements.
The celebration even caught the attention of the former England striker on social media.
Crouch wrote on social media, “I walked so they could run,” along with an excited robotic arm and robot emoji.
He performed the robotic celebration for the first time in 2006 after scoring for England during a friendly against Hungary. Fans once again got to experience the robot dance four days later when Crouch scored a hat trick against Jamaica before this year’s World Cup.
The striker would score 22 goals in 42 caps for the Three Lions.
Meanwhile, he scored 106 goals in 468 Premier League appearances for Stoke, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Portsmouth, Aston Villa, Southampton and Bournemouth.
Crouch saw the fun when Haaland celebrated the opening goal with a robotic dance.
As for Haaland, he chose not to recreate the robot again after his second goal of the afternoon.
The 25-year-old restored City’s lead before half-time after the Cherries had pushed them back through Tyler Adams.
Nico O’Reilly then added a third goal for the home side in the second half.
The win sees City move above Bournemouth into second place in the Premier League table.
However, they are still six points behind league leaders Arsenal before they host Liverpool next Sunday.
After the game, Haaland told Sky Sports: “It’s an important win. It’s good to recover from losing a bad away game [against Aston Villa]. It was nice.”
Crouch first produced his signature robotic celebration after scoring for England in 2006.
“I tried to contribute for the team by doing my job. It’s good to win, now we have two important games left, so we have to keep focusing.” “I didn’t score in our last game and I always try to help the team win. That’s my goal, and whether it’s by scoring or winning duels, it doesn’t matter.
“I want to help the team get better, that’s my job.”
He also saw the funny side of being taken off the pitch by Pep Guardiola while scoring a hat-trick, adding: “There were probably some Fantasy managers out there who weren’t too happy!”
Haaland’s latest goals have taken his tally for City to 141 in 159 games since joining the club in 2022.
The win was also the fourth consecutive home game in the Premier League in which he has scored more goals. Only two other players have achieved the feat, former Liverpool strikers Robbie Fowler and Luis Suarez.
