Manager Phil Parkinson knows he has a huge task ahead of him now that Wrexham are ready for the Championship after three promotions in a row.
It will be tough to get a fourth promotion in a row, with clubs like Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester determined to get back to the Premier League as quickly as possible.

Wrexham are reportedly interested in signing a Manchester United player, and that would be a big statement from the Welsh club. – The club has already announced its “released/retained list” for next season, with eight players leaving, including former Premier League striker Steven Fletcher.
Wrexham have since been linked with several experienced Premier League players, including West Ham left-back Aaron Cresswell, Spurs defender Ben Davies, and Fulham midfielder and captain Tom Cairney.
But they could soon be about to bring an even bigger star to the Racecourse Ground.
According to Tim from the Fearless in Devotion podcast,
“Parky [Phil Parkinson] is interested in signing Christian Eriksen.”
“He fits the profile we are looking for – a player with a certain age and a lot of experience. And he has just that.”
“We’re in a strange position where it’s almost impossible to dismiss any of these ideas as utter madness, because this is Wrexham – anything is possible. I still don’t believe in it, because there are limits to how many players with sky-high salaries we can have.”
Eriksen (33) has a contract with Manchester United that expires on June 30, and will then become a Bosmann player. According to Capology, the Danish international earns £150,000 a week, or £7.8 million a year.
As reported by Wales Online, Jay Rodriguez was the club’s highest-paid player in the 2024/25 season at around £15,000 a week.
Based on this, Eriksen will probably have to take a significant salary cut.

Christian Eriksen on his next club
The Dane recently gave his stance on where he can play next season:
“I prefer to go away from the Premier League,” Eriksen told Danish TV 2.
“It’s been a wonderful place for me and my family, and we’ve lived here for many years.”
“When I left Tottenham for Inter, the plan was not to return to England. I’ve still been here for another three and a half years since then, so you can never say never – but the first choice is to leave.”
He added:
“There is interest from several quarters, but nothing I am close to signing.”
“My focus now is national team football, so a good summer holiday. Then we’ll see how long the holiday will be.”
