A new Premier League manager has been sacked, or as Wolverhampton writes: Wolverhampton have parted ways with manager Vitor Perira.

When he arrived at Molineux in December last year, Pereira and his coaches made an immediate impression and led the team to a successful second half of the Premier League season. It didn’t help that last season’s savior Norwegian Jørgen Strand Larsen started the season out of the squad with an injury.

So far this season, names such as Ange Postecoglou, Graham Potter and Nuno Espirito Santo have been relieved of their positions. Postecoglou and Santo were both dismissed by Nottingham Forest after poor spells as managers.

The crisis is total and there is already talk after only 10 league rounds about relegation!

And ex-Brighton and Hove Albion and Chelsea boss Potter was replaced at West Ham United by Nuno Esperito Santo after a poor run of results. Currently, Wolverhampton Wanderers are at the very bottom of the Premier League table, with just two points from their first ten games.

They have only managed to score seven goals, while conceding 22.

Last weekend, after their 3-2 loss to Burnley at Molineux, Pereira was seen in an angry exchange with Wolves supporters.

The Portuguese head coach, who signed a new three-year contract with Wolves in September, let his frustrations boil over full-time with the supporters. Wolves supporters had chanted against the board during the game, but after the defeat they turned their attention to Pereira with shouts of “get sacked tomorrow morning”. – Well, it took a week and another loss before the sacking became a reality.

Speaking about the incident, he said, “We understand the frustration of the people and supporters, but what I have to say is that if we fight united with them, we can win games and compete and achieve our goals. Without them, it’s impossible.”

On Saturday, things went from bad to worse when Wolves were beaten 3-0 by Fulham.

As for the future, names such as Brendan Rodgers, Erik ten Hag, Sérgio Conceição, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Frank Lampard have all been linked with a move to Wolves.
