Last season, the centre-back was on Liverpool’s radar, in the last year the former FC Midtjylland player has also been closely followed by Real Madrid, Bayern Munich – and not surprisingly Manchester United after Ruben Amoriom left Sporting and Diomande in November. However, there is another club that is now securing the Ivorian international.
The 21-year-old Ousmane Diomande towers 1.93m in central defence at Sporting, where he already has 101 appearances for the Portuguese giant, many of them in the UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League.

In addition, he has nine caps for his country, has won the League Portugal twice, the Danish First Division and the Africa Cup.
According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, Crystal Palace are now in the final stages of transfer negotiations, with Diomande being sent to Oliver Glasner and the Premier League for around £40 million.
Expectations are high at Palace for the 21-year-old, where Diomande is seen as “the next Marc Guehi”.
