The Barca icon left the La Liga giant without success in the Champions League, but showed with his La Liga title he is a sabla good coach. Now it is reported that a very tempting offer in the Premier League could be on the way.

According to Footballtransfer’s sources “close to the situation”, Newcastle have made first contact with Xavi to check the interest, if the Spaniard sees himself as the next Newcastle manager.

Eddie Howe has done a great job this season, bringing home the historic League Cup title. However, the Newcastle management should be looking at Howe without the same “global appeal and pulling power” as Xavi.

Footballtransfers adds that this is the same source that announced Xavi’s exit from Barcelona before it became public. Xavi has previously expressed great interest in the Premier League, Newcastle are opening the door to negotiations.
