Borussia Dortmund have been the springboard for players like Ousmane Dembelé, Jadon Sancho (when he was actually brilliant), Erling Haaland and Jude Bellngham. The Bundesliga club has brought in the really big sales revenue, but is losing players who would have lifted de Schwartzgelben all the way to the top. In recent months, a bunch of Premier League clubs have seen an opportunity to snatch another key player in the Dortmund shirt, but this week the door to 25-year-old Felix Nmeche was closed. However, there is an opening that awaits.
The central midfielder played his entire youth at Manchester City’s academy, but moved to Wolfsburg in 2021 when he played three games in the first team under Pep Guardiola. At Dortmund, there have been 118 appearances, heading into the last two years of his contract, Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur were all linked with the German player.

This week, however, the 25-year-old signed a contract extension with Dortmund until 2030 with double his salary. Now it is reported that the Premier League clubs will still get a second chance, but will have to be patient.
According to Bild , the agreement includes two buyout clauses. Nmecha could leave the club in 2027 for 80 million euros, or in 2028 for 70 million euros.
