Sean Dyche is a fighter. The English coach led Burnley for almost ten years before he was sacked in 2022 when things were going awry in the Premier League after several seasons in the top division. Not long after, Vincent Kompany was brought in as the new Burnley manager. What happened last summer makes Dyche question the crazy world of football.
Kompany was surprisingly brought in as the new Bayern Munich coach, this came after the City legend had first led Burnley to direct relegation.

Dyche was sacked as Everton manager in January, and has plenty of time to talk to the media. Speaking on a talkSport podcast, Dyche shared his thoughts on Kompany’s surprise signing with one of the world’s biggest clubs, after just 24 points in the Premier League and £127 million in debt.
“I don’t really understand how it works, but I wish I had done it. I wish it was me who had left the club (Burnley) with £127 million in debt and then got the job as Bayern coach. It’s an interesting development,” says an ironic Sean Dyche, with a touch of sarcasm.
