Last summer, Newcastle management gently knocked on Liverpool’s door to air a potential swap for Jarell Quansah to go to St. James’ Park. Liverpool turned down the offer, Newcastle were able to manoeuvre themselves within the rules of profitable and sustainable club operations, and the need to sell Antony Gordon disappeared. Now Newcastle are back at Anfield, looking for the signing of the Liverpool player.
According to The Times, interest in the 22-year-old is still high, with Newcastle getting the opportunity to spend some money again in the summer transfer window and planning to go for Quansah (who was invited to Thomas Tuchel’s first national team squad).

Newcastle need a centre-back who can play on the right, there should be a lot of enthusiasm from the club management for Quansah and the potential of the young player with 55 games in the first team. The centre-back has been on the pitch under Slot for over a thousand minutes so far in the season.
The English newspaper reports Newcastle see an opening this summer with bids of £30 million plus bonus, while the club can offer Quansah plenty of playing time.
