It’s been a tough week for Arsenal, especially for Martin Ødegaard. In the Champions League quarter-finals, he led the Gunners to victory over Real Madrid and coach Ancelotti, who twice underestimated the Norwegian as a Real Madrid player. In the Premier League, they were on course for second place after a big win against Ipswich. Then came a draw against Crystal Palace, a home defeat to PSG in the first semi-final, where their own supporters called for Ødegaard to relinquish the captain’s armband. On Saturday, Arsenal let four clubs into the battle for second place in the Premier League.
The English media and the Premier League are fronting an image of Martin Ødegaard straightening his lick as he looks deep into the turf after the 1-2 loss to Bournemouth on Saturday, with a 1-0 lead with less than thirty minutes left in the game.

After the game, it was a clearly disappointed Arsenal captain who walked in front of the microphone.
“We are very disappointed. We are very disappointed right now, but we have to put it behind us, stand together and prepare for the PSG game.
“It’s a big game, and maybe that’s the good thing about it, that we’re very disappointed, angry and frustrated right now. We can use all those emotions on Wednesday, when we know what’s at stake,” Ødegaard told Arsenal’s website.
