In the spring of 2024, Bruno Fernandes was anything but happy as Manchester United captain. The Premier League season ended in 8th place, but got a bright spot after the FA Cup final win against a Manchester City, who according to Guardiola, still had not recovered from the celebration of another Premier League title. Fernandes was heavily linked with exit, told the media he was going to have a long chat with United boss Ratcliffe about the plan for the club – and was persuaded to sign a new contract. Now there is pressure for the Portuguese to use the summer transfer window to leave Old Trafford.
Fernandes is pleased to have brought in compatriot Ruben Amorim as United manager, but has not been able to prevent a bottom-of-the-bucket season in the Premier League. Manchester United have opened the door to selling virtually all players if the bid is right, but Bruno Fernandes is untouchable.

Transfer journalist Romano reports Bruno Fernandes has a top priority in the summer transfer market for, not Real Madrid, but a Saudi Arabian club.
If we look back a year and a half, we saw the same thing happen to Mo Salah at Liverpool. The Saudi Arabian club made Liverpool and the superstar an offer they thought was impossible to refuse. Which was turned down by both parties.

Now Manchester United are in a completely different financial situation, so it will be exciting to follow when bids of probably over 200 million euros come. That Bruno Fernandes leaves the UEFA region for a few hundred million euros in extra salary income, we do not see that coming.
