The German team is willing to listen to offers, but the Dutch footballer is very expensive to keep.
RB Leipzig are seriously considering parting ways with Xavi Simons this summer – not because of his performances. The young Dutch player is one of the key figures in the German team, but his high salary (close to 13 million euros annually) has become a financial burden that is difficult for the club to bear.

Although the midfielder has impressed in the Bundesliga, Leipzig are aware that keeping him in the long term could be unsustainable. They are open to listening to offers, but with one clear condition: Whoever wants him must pay a sum very close to 80 million euros. There is no intention of giving away one of European football’s most promising talents.
Pep Guardiola wants him at Manchester City
According to Sky Germany, Manchester City is the main interested party. Pep Guardiola’s side see Simons as the ideal replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, who is nearing the end of his peak career. Simons’ versatility, creative talent and young age make him a valuable player both for now and the future of “The Citizens”.
RB Leipzig, aware of the interest from several major European clubs, has a strong negotiating position: they are not desperate to sell, but if an offer covers both the sporting loss and the financial requirements, they will not hesitate to make a deal. Now it’s up to Manchester City to take the next step.
