Albert Grønbæk has a contract with Ligue 1 club Rennes until 2029, currently playing in Serie A, after having had half a season in the Premier League. Sounds like a real football adventure for a young player, but for the Danish 24-year-old, things have gone straight south after he left Aspmyra and Bodø/Glimt. Now two clubs are very interested in bringing Grønbæk “home”.
For Bodø/Glimt supporters, “home” will be Aspmyra, for FC Copenhagen and FC Midtjylland, “home” will be the return to Danish football, the ones he played for AGF before his breakthrough at the elite league club.

After a six-month stay and 102 minutes at the match arena for the Italian club Genoa on loan, Albert Grønbæk is working to leave the club. The interest in the former Bodø/Glimts player is said to be great,
The rental period has been anything but successful. Only four games in Serie A and a measly 102 minutes have been the result for Grønbæk this season. Dutch, Italian and French clubs are said to be interested in opening the door for the 24-year-old, but according to Bold , two Danish clubs are also chasing Grønbæk, with offers of plenty of playing time and the opportunity to play his way back into the Danish national team.
According to the Danish media, the two Danish Superliga clubs have shown “initial interest”, but there are still no serious negotiations.
Many will probably think that Albert Grønbæk should rather take a stay at Bodø/Glimt, if he is to move north in Europe first. After all, it was at Aspmyra that he played his way into the Danish national team and several major European clubs.
