The merengue team will give the go-ahead for this player’s departure as soon as the Club World Cup is over.
Strategic collaboration underway
Real Madrid and Como 1907 could soon strike a new strategic deal involving one of the young talents from the merengue academy. The Italian club, which plays in Serie A, has started talks with the white institution to secure the services of Jacobo Ramón, a promising centre-back from La Fábrica. Everything indicates that the agreement will be very similar to the one used for Nico Paz.

Loans with future control
The plan is to transfer the defender, but with a significant share of the sporting rights or a right of first refusal – which will allow Real Madrid to follow the player’s development closely without losing control of his future. This strategy has been used successfully recently, and can now be repeated with Jacobo, who will be given the go-ahead to leave after the Club World Cup.
Como shows strong interest
From Italy, Como’s interest is great. The club are looking to strengthen their defence with two new signings this summer and see Jacobo Ramón as a very interesting market opportunity – both because of his potential and future value. Real Madrid is positive about the destination, as Como offers a competitive environment, playing time and an ambitious project.
Appointment pending
Negotiations are ongoing, and unless something unexpected happens, both parties will move forward once Real Madrid’s participation in the international tournament is over. If the deal is finalised, Jacobo Ramón will follow in Nico Paz’s footsteps – he was also brought in by the Italian club through a deal with the Whites. Yet another example of the new management model that Real Madrid uses for their young talents.
