The centre-back has 116 appearances in the Real shirt, but has had both this and last season eaten up by injuries. According to The Athletic, Real Madrid are trying to sell Alaba this summer. The extreme wage expense and recurring injuries have put Alaba on the sales list.
We don’t see how a club can bear salary expectations of almost 20 million euros, when the CV of the last two seasons is dominated by injuries. Even clubs in the “Ronaldo League” can calculate that the probability of losing big on an Alaba signing is high.
