Roma defender Evan Ndicka has found himself on Real Madrid’s radar.

When Evan Ndicka joined AS Roma on a free transfer in 2023, it appeared to be quite the steal as the defender was one of the top performers at his previous club, Eintracht Frankfurt.

Formerly of AJ Auxerre, Ndicka had built a reputation at Frankfurt due to his versatility and imposing presence at the back. He has continued his momentum at Roma, becoming an ever-present figure in the club’s backline.

Real Madrid are interested in Evan Ndicka

Los Blancos are currently looking for defensive reinforcements ahead of the January window.

Militao’s recent injury has forced Carlo Ancellotti’s side to seek reinforcements on the market. With David Alaba also on the sidelines due to a knee issue, Antonio Rudiger is the only recognised central defender in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad, considering Jesus Vallejo is “persona non grata”.

La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly mulling over signing 25-year-old Ivory Coast international Evan Ndicka from Serie A club AS Roma next year.

According to journalist Abdellah Boulma, Real Madrid have shown interest in acquiring Ndicka, despite his contract expiring in 2028. So, the 25-year-old AS Roma defender has emerged as a target for Los Blancos.

A centre-back by trade, Ndicka could be a handy signing for Real Madrid due to the physicality and athleticism he offers to the table.

However, Abdellah Boulma has not specified whether Real Madrid will launch the offensive to sign the 25-year-old AS Roma defender in the winter transfer window. With the Serie A club enduring a frustrating 2024/25 campaign, they might resist selling one of their best players in January.
