Liverpool star Mohamed Salah continues to be a central part of manager Arne Slot’s plans, and influential figures behind the scenes at Anfield are not worried after their main player removed all references to Liverpool from his social media accounts.

This has been revealed by senior reporter Fabrizio Romano in his latest newsletter for GIVEMESPORT.

Liverpool ended a run of four straight defeats with a convincing 5-1 win over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Wednesday. Hugo Ekitike, Virgil van Dijk, Ibrahima Konate, Cody Gakpo and Dominik Szoboszlai were all responsible for the goals in the victory, which came after a brave choice to rotate the squad.

Although Salah removed all Liverpool-related information from his X and Instagram bio in the wake of the win over Eintracht Frankfurt, Romano insists that the reigning Premier League champions are not worried that he is unhappy with his current situation.

“There are no bad feelings at all. Mohamed Salah remains an absolutely key part of the squad and the project. It’s not his best moment, but Liverpool continue to support and have confidence in him. There are no problems at all.”

Salah was moved to the bench for the Champions League clash against Eintracht Frankfurt, as Slot opted to reshuffle the squad after his team had suffered four straight losses. As a result, the Egyptian had to settle for a substitute in the final stages of the match at Deutsche Bank Park and still wait for his first goal since September 17.

The winger, who signed a new contract worth up to £500,000 per week in April rather than leaving the club as a free agent in the summer, was also named in the starting line-up for Liverpool’s previous European game against Galatasaray last month. Nevertheless, he has been a regular presence in the Premier League this season.

Romano is categorical that key decision-makers are not concerned about the fact that Salah has removed all mentions of Liverpool from his social media, despite some sections of fans fearing that it is a sign of discontent. He is still a crucial part of Slot’s plans, while the Dutch tactician aims to secure consecutive league gold.
