We can reveal what sources at Tottenham Hotspur are saying about Igor Tudor’s future after the horrendous 3-0 loss at home to Nottingham Forest, while there has been a sensational claim about a manager returning to north London.
Tottenham’s chances of avoiding relegation were severely dented when Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi all scored for the away side. Forest took the lead just before half-time when Jesus got a free header from a corner kick beaten by Neco Williams.

Tottenham failed to sign Gibbs-White this summer, and the Forest captain inflicted more misery on Tudor’s side in the 62nd minute. Callum Hudson-Odoi made his way past Pedro Porro before laying the ball back to Gibbs-White, who was completely unmarked in the box.
Gibbs-White had a relatively easy finish, but Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario will be questioned.
Williams was again the creator of the pitch late in the game when he hit a cross that Awoniyi volleyed into the net after holding off Kevin Danso.
The result left Forest two points ahead of Spurs, who are in 17th place. The only positive thing for Spurs is that their bottom team West Ham United lost 2-0 to Aston Villa.
Spurs sources have provided correspondent Graeme Bailey with the latest information on Tudor’s situation.
A well-informed source said: “It’s hard to see him leading the team against Sunderland, as the players are clearly not responding.
“If the club believes that the dressing room has turned against him, he will be removed.”
But another said: “As of now, a swap is not planned. But it is obvious that talks will take place during the international break.”
Spurs will visit Sunderland on April 12.
Tottenham hero Harry Redknapp has “made contact” with the club and “offered to become interim manager for the rest of the season”.
Redknapp first took over as manager of Spurs in October 2008, when the club were last in the table after a horrendous start under Juande Ramos.
He quickly turned Spurs’ fortunes around and made them a fixture in the top five, and even won the Premier League Manager of the Year award in the 2009/10 season.
Keane and Pochettino linked to Spurs return
Redknapp has a close bond with Spurs supporters that would help win them back, but he is now 79 years old and has not been a manager since September 2017.
Robbie Keane would make more sense for Spurs, as he is a promising manager who would also receive the love and support of Spurs fans.
Mauricio Pochettino, Roberto De Zerbi, Oliver Glasner and Marco Silva are also in the running for the job.
However, there are two key issues for Spurs as they hunt for a new top coach. First of all, no manager wants to go into such a difficult situation.
Secondly, relegation to the Championship would force Spurs into a completely different market for managers.
