There were reports of a mini-transfer bomb this week. Andy Robertson himself is pushing for a move to Tottenham during the transfer window (his contract expires in the summer). This has caused Liverpool to turn around quickly. An alternative is to bring Tsimikas back from loan at Roma, now there are reports of another race, for the long run.

It’s nothing new that Liverpool have been following Antonee Robinson closely. However, it never ended with the signing of Fulham’s left-back. A Robertson exit could set this in motion.

Robinson was one of Liverpool’s top candidates in the summer of 2025, but the reigning Premier League champions ultimately opted to sign Miloš Kerkez from Bournemouth. Kerkez’s arrival at Anfield sent Kostas Tsimikas to Roma on a one-year loan deal with the Italian club.

According to Teamtalk’s sources , Liverpool have two races in the pipeline. One is to bring Tsimikas back early, the other is to focus on Antonee signing in the summer. The 28-year-old American left-back, who wore the Everton shirt from 2015-19, is said to be eager to return to Merseyside. Liverpool’s management see a partnership between Robinson and Kerkez as the ideal long-term solution on the left side of the defence, it is reported.
