A little unsure of what the plan is for the Swedish national team goalkeeper Robin Olsen, but as it looks now, he is determined to sit on the bench at Aston Villa for the rest of his contract period.

The

35-year-old, who has a contract until the summer, was in October, according to Expressen, in “concrete talks” with the reigning Allsvenskan champions Malmö FF about a transfer.

Robin Olsen, who started out in Malmö FF, played for FC Copenhagen after a somewhat sad stay in PAOK from 2016 to 2018.

Now Aftonbladet comes with an update regarding Robin Olsen’s future. The newspaper writes that FC Copenhagen has made a huge bid to sign Olsen – something the goalkeeper has rejected. Instead, he looks set to stay at Aston Villa until the summer, when his contract expires.

When that happens, Malmö FF is expected to make another attempt at Olsen, who is listed for 75 MFF games. He belonged in light blue between 2012 and 2015.

He has previously played for Paok, Roma and Everton, among others.
