Last Monday, the plan was for Ruben Amorim to start as manager of Manchester United. – He was presented, but is not allowed to work until his work permit goes through on Monday.

Manchester United recently sacked Erik ten Hag and then former assistant Ruud van Nistelrooy took over as interim manager before he was also left in favour of Ruben Amorim, who was bought out from Sporting for €10 million plus a million to make things move quickly.

Manchester United confirm that Amorim will bring with them five managers from Sporting, which are Carlos Fernandes, Jorge Vital, Adelio Candido, Emanuel Ferro and Paulo Barreira.

Carlos Fernandes will be assistant coach, Jorge Vital will be goalkeeper coach, Adelio Candido and Emanuel Ferro will serve as team managers, while Paulo Barreira will serve as physical trainer.

Furthermore, United also reported that Swede Andreas Georgson will remain as a specialist in set pieces. Darren Fletcher and Craig Mawson will also be part of Amorim’s staff.
