Manchester United are on a winning streak of three games in a row.

According to reports, Ruben Amorim has decided on the future of two Manchester United stars after the club’s victory over Brighton and Hove Albion.

On Saturday, United reinforced their recent victories over Sunderland and Liverpool by beating Brighton in the Premier League.

A double from Bryan Mbeubo, as well as goals from Matheus Cunha and Casemiro, secured an important 4-2 victory at Old Trafford. Arne Slot makes a remark about “smaller club” about Newcastle.

As a result of the win over Brighton, United are now in sixth place in the Premier League table, one point ahead of league champions Liverpool, who have suffered four straight defeats.

Just a few days after United’s win over Brighton, it is claimed that Amorim has made a decision about the futures of Joshua Zirkzee and Kobbie Mainoo.

Mainoo, 20, has only had one game from the start in the 25/26 season, which was the disappointing loss to League Two side Grimsby Town in the Carabao Cup. The midfielder has not started a game in the top division since May.

Dutch striker Zirkzee is currently behind the likes of Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko and Mason Mount in Amorim’s hierarchy of players.

Due to a lack of regular playing time, both of the above players have been linked with a path away from Old Trafford. According to Sky Sports, however, both players will be stopped from leaving during the winter transfer window.

The report stated, “Manchester United are prepared to block requests from their players to leave the club in light of an expected shortage of players.”

During the winter period, United will be without players such as Mbeumo, Amad Diallo, and Noussair Mazraoui, as they are expected to participate in the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations.

Recently, talking about Mainoo and Zirkzee potentially leaving in January, Amorim said: “I also know that at our club there is a lot of noise. You have to have news. Players who don’t play. They want to play. It’s a World Cup.”

“There are agents who listen to the players who talk all the time. I understand that, but they are our players and we need everyone to have a good season.”

United are back in the Premier League this weekend when they face Sean Dyche’s Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Saturday afternoon.
