New Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim has put four players up for sale on the January transfer market. According to Football Fancast, Amorim is planning a major clean-up in January.
Amorim, who officially starts his new job when he leaves Sporting Lisbon on November 11, has identified four players who are out of his plans at Old Trafford.
The Brazilian duo Casemiro and Antony will be sold in an attempt to make a clean break from Erik ten Hag, who signed the pair for a total of 170 million euros.
Veteran Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen is considered too old by Amorim and will be available for a reduced price in January. The same is true for defender Victor Lindelof, who is seen as last in Amorim’s order of priority in the backline.
Amorim has agreed a contract until 2027 at Old Trafford. The 39-year-old Portuguese coach replaces Erik ten Hag, who was sacked by Man Utd on Monday.

Amorim is one of Europe’s most admired young managers after working wonders at Sporting Lisbon in recent years.
He won five trophies in Lisbon after arriving in 2020, including two league titles.
He has also developed a number of exciting talents, the latest being goal machine Viktor Gyokeres. – The Swede, along with several others who have contributed to the success in Portugal, is wanted to be brought to Old Trafford as soon as possible.
Manchester United have only 11 points from 9 games after a disastrous start to the season. They have also failed to win any of their three Europa League games.
