Davide Ancelotti got his UEFA coaching license in 2016 and has been able to build up experience as a coach with dad Carlo as head coach. First at Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton, then Real Madrid. This summer, Carlo left the La Liga giant, for Davide it was time to stand on his own coaching feet. Five months later, it is concluded that the first attempt without a father ended in failure.

Brazilian Botafoga brought in Ancelotti junior as head coach, while the senior was to lead the Brazilian national team. In both places, there are high expectations for an Ancelotti. Carlo is leading Brazil steadily towards something big in the World Cup, while junior has now been fired.

Botafogo reports on their website that head coach Davide Ancelotti has been fired, just over five months after his appointment.

It finished sixth in the Brazilian top flight, while the club crashed out of the Copa Libertadores in the 1/8 final. Ancelotti junior was weighed too lightly.
