It has been an excellent few years for Brice Wembangomo in Bodø/Glimt, especially the last two he has contributed to the club’s success.
Not only has there been two league golds and games in Europe, the 28-year-old right-back has also made his debut for Norway. Brice Wembangomo has seen why for a little over three years and as an expert on the inside is absolutely sure that the success continues and grows.
As he himself says to Bodø/Glimt’s pages: “There is only one thing I am missing. I would have liked to get that cup gold. Beyond that, I just look back on this period as having experienced much, much, much more than I could have imagined”
“It is inevitable that Bodø/Glimt will end up in the Champions League.”
“One thing is the quarter-finals of the Europa League, which will be very exciting, but I’m thinking even further ahead for Glimt. I’m excited to see when Glimt enters the Champions League. I think it will happen, because it is completely inevitable with the development that is here. In the Europa League, Glimt have good chances no matter who they face.”
Wembangomo started out in Sarpsborg 08 with Kvikk Halden and Fredrikstad on loan before two years in Jerv, back in Sarpsborg and a free transfer to Bodø/Glimt in January 2022.
Now Brice Wembangomo is ready for Allsvenskan and BK Häcken, who were lifted to league gold and play in Europe a few years ago by Per-Mathias Høgmo.
“I want to win something with Häcken”
BK Häcken writes: After eleven years in Norwegian elite football, it will be the first time right-back Brice Wembangomo plays outside the Norwegian border. He comes to BK Häcken to once again take the team out to Europe.
“Nothing would have been better than winning the final of the Swedish Cup and being in the fight for the gold. With that squad and where BK Häcken wants to be as a team, there is really an opportunity for that, he says.
