Earlier this week, The Athletic reported Manchester United are left with two candidates to fill the important striker position before the start of the season. Soon just two weeks left before the first Premier League game, United will land the signing of either Benjamin Sesko or Aston Villa’s Ollie Watkiins. Now the hunt for the former is intensifying.
The 22-year-old Sesko was at the top of Arsenal’s and Arteta’s wish list for a long time, but after repeated attempts, it still ended up with Viktor Gyökeres. The Gunners fans don’t seem to mourn this, the same day the super Swede put on the iconic No. 14 shirt, worn by Thierry Henry, Arsenal sold the shirt like never before in history. Manchester United missed out on signing Gyökeres, but are now going hard for Sesko.

According to The Athletic, a “secret” (little is secret in the world of football) Man Utd delegations have been sent to Germany to negotiate with RB Leipzig. This comes after United’s “project” has been presented to Sesko. The delegation is led by United’s head of recruitment, Christopher Vivell, who knows Sesko and the RB system well. First as a scout at RB Salzburg, then technical director at RB Leipzig.
Newcastle are working hard for the same signing, now the Manchester United delegation will ensure that Benjamin Sesko ends up at Old Trafford, reports the English media
