On Friday, the confirmation came of what Sky Sports reports is a £62 million transfer. There is little doubt Semenyo is happy with the choice.

“I’m so proud to have joined Manchester City. I have followed City through the last decade under Pep Guardiola, and they have been the dominant team in the Premier League, achieving fantastic results in the Champions League, FA Cup and League Cup. They have set the very highest standards, and it is a club with world-class players, world-class facilities and one of the greatest coaches ever in Pep,” the new City player told the club’s website.

“I have a lot of development potential, so being at this club at this point in my career is perfect for me. It’s a great privilege to be here,” says City’s No. 42.
