Liverpool scouts have been watching a great Bundesliga talent with the feeling that they have all the time in the world. – So it is no longer urgent to start winning games again so that the season does not become a complete disaster.
A delegation from Liverpool was in Leipzig on Saturday night to keep an eye on potential January target Yan Diomande, and the Ivorian talent did not disappoint amid an incredible outburst from the man he could eventually replace, Mohamed Salah, after the Reds drew with Leeds United.

While Liverpool threw away the lead twice at Elland Road before eventually succumbing to a 3-3 draw, RB Leipzig crushed Eintracht Frankfurt at the Red Bull Arena – and eventually won 6-0, with Diomande as the star of the pitch.
Sources can reveal that more than a dozen clubs were present at Leipzig, and we can confirm that Liverpool had what we are told was a “delegation” to watch his stellar performance, which included an 18-minute hat-trick at the start of the second half.
Diomande, who can play anywhere along the attacking line, played on the right wing in a three, as he has done in most of his games this season.
Our sources revealed earlier this week that Liverpool were already exploring a potential deal for the Ivorian teenager, who only joined the club this summer.
Leipzig are adamant that they do not want to lose Diomande, who the Red Bull organization sees as their biggest prospect since Erling Haaland. However, they acknowledge that his achievements attract attention.
Liverpool, for their part, are looking for a new attacking option, and it could happen in January, as there are still question marks over Salah’s long-term future.
Somewhat ironically, while Diomande took the match ball in Germany, Salah sat on the bench and didn’t see a minute of the game in West Yorkshire as Liverpool were held to a 3-3 draw by Leeds.
His incredible interview after that game has since cast great doubt on his own future, while it has almost certainly weakened Arne Slot as well.
Saudi Pro League bosses are confident of bringing Mohamed Salah to the Middle East.
