The Spanish channel Cadena SER reports that the investment group represented by Sergio Ramos has reached an agreement in principle with the main shareholders to buy Sevilla FC.

Now begins what is described as an “exclusive period”, where the potential buyers scrutinize the club’s finances before a final deal.

The price tag is said to be around 450 million euros.

The 39-year-old player has played for the club for two periods. The centre-back, who recently left Mexican side Monterrey, is currently clubless. Ramos is best known for his successful years at Real Madrid and on the Spanish national team.
