In the summer, Thomas Müller will clear his closet at Bayern Munich. Not for the holidays, but for good at the club he has served since his debut in 2008. It is somewhat unreal to imagine Bayern without Müller, but for other clubs a unique opportunity.

The 35-year-old is still on the boil in front of the opponents’ goal, the last goal coming in Der Klassiker against Borussia Dortmund earlier in the month. In addition, the Müller package comes with experience from the biggest matches and with a winner’s skull like few others in the industry. This package is what the Fiorentina management wants.

According to transfer journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serie A club have already contacted Müller’s agent.

“There is no deal, but I can confirm that Fiorentina called his agent to ask about the possibility of a transfer,” Di Marzio begins to wettfreunde.de.

-They wanted to know if Müller would be interested in moving to Italy, as no Italian club can match the salary he is earning at Bayern at the moment. Fiorentina is an ideal destination for former Bayern Munich players, just like Franck Ribéry or Mario Gomez. They will try to give Müller the idea: The freedom to play without pressure and enjoy a city that will embrace him,” says the transfer journalist.
