Shocking, new body camera footage from the police of Tiger Woods after his latest drink-driving arrest has now surfaced online. The American golf legend made headlines last week after he overturned his Range Rover on a residential street in Florida.
The incident took place last Friday on Jupiter Island in Florida, and police later charged the 50-year-old golfer with driving under the influence. John Budensiek of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office in Florida updated the public on the situation and said:
“If someone had come in the opposite direction, we would not have had a conversation about the fact that there were no injured. This could have been much worse.

He then confirmed that Woods had been arrested and charged after showing “signs of intoxication.” The golf legend refused to take a urine sample, and a source later insisted that Woods had only refused because he had large doses of prescription opioids in his body to manage his many injuries. – But that’s not the worst part!
“I just talked to the president”
A week ago, golf star Tiger Woods crashed his car. In footage released from the arrest, Woods tells the officers who are about to arrest him, “I just spoke to the president.”
The arrest video, which was made public by Martin County in Florida, shows police Woods getting out of the car and talking on the phone a short distance away after the accident. When the police ask him to come back, Woods says “Thank you very much” to the person on the phone and turns around.
“I just talked to the president,” Woods says, showing his phone.
Woods was then subjected to a series of tests, arrested and handcuffed.
“Are you arresting me?” asks Woods in surprise.
It is not clear which President Woods is referring to, but US President Donald Trump confirmed on Tuesday that he was in contact with Woods at some point in connection with the accident. Woods denies the allegations that he was under the influence in connection with the accident. A breathalyzer test after the incident showed no alcohol, but the 50-year-old refused to take a urine test.
On Thursday, the golf star announced that he will not be captain of the US Ryder Cup team in 2027. Woods, who clearly loves to do stupid things while drunk and under the influence of alcohol, will of course not end up in prison like absolutely anyone else who is not friends with Donald Trump would do. Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump
The partner of Tiger Woods, who is also the ex-wife of Donald Trump’s son, has imposed strict ground rules on the legendary golfer.
Officers at the scene reported that Woods was “limp and sluggish” with “extremely dilated” pupils after the accident. They also found two hydrocodone pills in his pocket – an opioid used for severe pain.
The Martin County Sheriff’s Office has now released the full video footage of the moment police found Woods unsteady on the side of the road. They also shared a clip of him being taken to prison.
The recording shows Woods yawning violently, struggling to hold back his hiccups and falling asleep briefly – all while remaining silent. In the first clip from the side of the road, filmed by the arresting officer’s body camera, Woods can be heard explaining how the accident happened:
“I looked down at my phone, and suddenly… boom!
Woods was also filmed kneeling on the edge of the grass and medical personnel examined him. An officer is heard asking, “Is this comfortable for you?” To which Woods replied, “Yes, yes.”
Withdraws from Masters
Not surprisingly, the American sports legend has confirmed that he will not participate in this year’s Masters. He retires from golf to seek treatment and focus on his health. In a statement, he explained:
“I know the seriousness of the situation I find myself in, and I understand it. I take a break for a period of time to seek treatment and focus on my health. This is necessary for me to be able to prioritize my own well-being and work towards a lasting recovery.
The 15-time major winner’s infamous driving history dates back to 2009, when he crashed into a neighboring tree under the influence of sleeping pills. He was then charged with drink-driving in 2017 after being found unconscious behind the wheel, and in 2021 he was the victim of a serious accident that resulted in multiple broken legs.
Woods has not participated in any of the four major golf tournaments since playing in The Open Championship in 2024. Fred Ridley, chairman of Augusta National Golf Club, shared a statement of support on behalf of the Masters tournament:
“Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament fully support Tiger Woods as he focuses on his own well-being. Although Tiger will not be joining us in person next week, his presence will be felt here in Augusta.
