Simone Inzaghi is set to leave Inter Milan after their crushing 5-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final, according to reports.

But a seventh trophy eluded him at the Allianz Arena, where Inter were completely overrun by an attacking PSG team.

PSG dominated from start to finish
Achraf Hakimi and Désiré Doué made it 2-0 before half-time, and few expected an Inter comeback in the second half.

It was practically decided when Doué made it 3-0 with a great shot in the right corner, before Kvara Tshhelia increased to 4-0.

And academy player Senny Mayulu, who came in from the bench, hammered in the fifth goal in the 87th minute to put an extra shine on the result.

Inzaghi on his way to Saudi Arabia
Inzaghi’s contract at the San Siro expires in the summer, and he has not been short of interest in the past.

He has previously been linked with Chelsea and Manchester United, but has resisted the temptation to leave Inter.

However, according to Sky Sports’ Kaveh Solhekol, he is now expected to leave Inter immediately after the final to become manager of Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Inzaghi had talks with Al Hilal’s management, but he refused to comment on the matter before the final.

Al Hilal’s
big ambitions The Saudi Arabian club has also been linked with a big transfer for Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes this summer.

They also have former Manchester City full-back João Cancelo and ex-Wolves midfielder Rúben Neves in their squad.

Inzaghi thus becomes the first top coach from Europe to make the move to Saudi Arabia since the big player exodus began last summer.

Al Hilal initially approached Fulham manager Marco Silva after sacking Jorge Jesus, but the Portuguese stated that he was happy with Fulham, according to Sky Sports.

Difficult to replace Inzaghi
Inter’s search for a new manager may be more difficult than first thought.

Massimiliano Allegri and Maurizio Sarri are expected to take over AC Milan and Lazio respectively after periods out of work, while Gian Piero Gasperini will become the new Roma coach after leaving Atalanta.

Antonio Conte, on the other hand, appears to be staying at Napoli, despite rumours that he could leave the club after winning Serie A, according to Fabrizio Romano.
