Throughout the summer, Bayern Munich have been linked with Germany’s next big striker, Nick Woltemade. The Bundesliga giant has a long tradition of rapping the best players at their rivals, but lost the battle for Florian Wirtz in the summer. Stuttgart striker Woltemade was supposed to secure, but here too it was a miss. Stuttgart refused to sell the 23-year-old for 55 million euros, now the player with a market value of 30 million euros disappears to the Premier League.

Newcastle have been chasing a striker all summer, where Benjamin Sesko, Hugo Ekitike, Yoan Wissa and most recently Jørgen Strand Larsen have been linked with a move to the traditional club in the north of England. No luck for Eddie Howe and the gang, but now it is reported that Newcastle are succeeding where Bayern Munich have fallen short.

In the U21 European Championship, Woltemade was absolutely outstanding with six goals for Germany. For Stuttgart, the striker has 18 goals in 36 games. According to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg, Woltemade is all but ready for a move to Newcastle, where the Premier League club will pay a whopping €85 million plus €5 million in bonuses.

Now the German is on his way to England after saying goodbye to his teammates at Stuttgart, it is reported.
