We don’t think Tottenham and Arsenal legend Sol Campbell necessarily hits the mark in his assumption that Ruben Amorim will soon be back in the Premier League as manager. – If we are going to Sporten.com bet, and we do, we think the Portuguese manager will take the huge money bag he received after being fired from Manchester United to a sunny place to recharge his batteries.
But… Time will tell who is right.
Manchester United parted ways with Amorim after his clash with director of football Jason Wilcox. (And miserable results over time)
He was sacked just days after his explosive outburst during the press conference following the Red Devils’ draw against Leeds United.

Despite being out of work for just a week, the Portuguese has been linked with several coaching jobs, including a Champions League club.
Amorim has also been tipped to remain in England’s top division in what would have been a fantastic appointment.
Sol Campbell believes Amorim is the ideal replacement for Thomas Frank at Spurs.
The pressure is mounting on Frank, who is under fire after Spurs’ struggles this season.
Former Spurs defender Campbell believes Amorim is suitable to replace Frank, who joined from Brentford in the summer.
When asked who would be the ideal coach to replace the Dane, Campbell told Sky Sports: “Ruben Amorim.
“They will look at him. They’re probably talking to him now, it wouldn’t surprise me. I don’t think he wants to go back to Portugal.
“Tottenham will speak to him to see if there’s any situation going on – there will be people talking behind the scenes.”
“Thomas Frank is a top coach, but he’s not at Brentford anymore – it’s a completely different animal. Tottenham is a big club and people are demanding.
“They will be successful, and they will continue to move forward successfully. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they talk to other coaches.
“Of course, if he starts turning it into winning games and having good performances, it helps.
“Sometimes you don’t have to win, but if you can have good performances and show that you’re moving in the right direction, it can help.
“But they want to talk to other coaches. It’s part of the package until you show who you are and start winning regularly.”
Spurs are in the bottom half of the table, with just 27 points.
And they suffered FA Cup elimination on Saturday, with a 2-1 loss at home to Aston Villa.
As it stands, Spurs are in 11th place in the Champions League table, having won three of their six games.
Frank needs to turn things around quickly or he risks losing his job after a four-game winless streak across all competitions.
