Then Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has received hugs and Turkish kisses on the cheek. In the course of two days, it has gone from rumours, to confirmed negotiations, to the signing and presentation of the Norwegian as the new Besiktas coach. With him is Erling Moe, who was “well timed” fired at Molde in December. With him, the new Besiktas coach also brings in an old acquaintance from Manchester United.

Richard Hartis was confirmed on Saturday as the new goalkeeper coach for Besiktas. The 57-year-old comes from the same job with the Jamaican national team, this summer Hartis walked out of United’s training ground, Carrington, for one last time.

Hartis was goalkeeper coach at Manchester United for 14 years. First between 2001 and 2010, then the last five years until this summer.
