The Athletic reports United management are holding physical meetings with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Michael Carrick. One is United’s former super substitute and permanent head coach, the other Solskjaer’s former assistant coach and substitute for a few games when the Norwegian was fired in 2021.

Solskjaer stands out as the big favorite, now Verdens Gang reports he is in negotiations for a contract with United, which will make him the club’s new interim coach as early as Friday.
