I can’t wait to play in this fantastic arena for so many supporters in such a unique atmosphere. This is also a big career step for me – my first foreign adventure. When you get a chance like that, and both the timing and the club are right, you have to seize the opportunity and give it your all,” says Ørjasæter, who will not be part of the squad for Sunday’s game due to a minor injury.

Jan Streuer: “We are very happy to welcome Sondre Ørjasæter to the club. Sondre is an exceptionally talented player we have followed over time in Norway. Sarpsborg 08’s great talent Sondre Ørjasæter (21) is ready for FC Twente in the Eredivisie.

– We have done everything we can to keep Sondre. We did it in the last transfer window, and we did it again last summer. Now we have reached a point where Sondre himself has been clear that he wants to take the next step in his career, says Sarpsborg’s sports director Hampus Andersson.

The transfer is said to be around 9 million euros.

“When you get to this stage, our focus as a club is to maximise the transfer fee. We have landed an agreement that Sondre, our club and Twente are all happy with, the sporting director adds.

Ørjasæter has recorded four goal points (2 goals + 2 assists) in 14 games in the Eliteserien this season.

The big chance of his career
The transfer to Twente marks a significant career step for the young Norwegian winger. The Dutch club, which regularly struggled at the top of the Eredivisie, could be the perfect arena for Ørjasæter to further develop their talent.

Sarpsborg loses one of their biggest stars, but at the same time secures a solid transfer fee that can strengthen the club financially. For Ørjasæter, this opens up new opportunities in one of Europe’s most attack-oriented leagues.

Now it remains to be seen how the young Norwegian will adapt to Dutch football, but with his technique and work capacity, he has all the prerequisites to succeed at his new club.
