Ethan Amundsen-Day (20) is back in Norwegian football after signing for HamKam in the Eliteserien.

Mjøsklubben is in trouble and before Sunday’s game at home at Briskeby Arena against reigning Eliteserien champion Bodø/Glimt, they are down in the qualifying place.

The club from Hamar announced the transfer on their website. The centre-back has signed a contract that lasts until the summer of 2029.

Sporting director Jørgen Bjørn has been chasing Ethan also in previous transfer windows. Now he is looking forward to seeing the left-footed centre-back for Kamma.

  • Ethan is a hungry and hard-working youngster who is now about to take the step into adult football. He is a “modern” center back – with a very good left foot, he has good mobility and is very willing to learn, Jørgen explains to HamKam’s pages.

Amundsen-Day, who grew up in Fredrikstad, moved to FC Copenhagen in 2021. In the summer of last year, he moved on to the U21 team of Premier League club Aston Villa.

Now he is back on home soil.

“It will be exciting. I come from two big cities, so it will be a change – but I’m really looking forward to it,” says Amundsen-Day.
