In the space of five days, Chelsea have got rid of Enzo Maresca and clapped in Liam Rosenior as their new head coach. With an ambitious six-year contract, it is signaled that the English coach who is brought in from Ligue 1 and Strasbourg, will be the long-term coaching solution. History shows that Chelsea, with both Abramovich and Boehly at the wheel, do not have a tradition of letting their coaches go out of contract, but right now there is great optimism about Rosenior’s entrance as Chelsea manager. In Dortmund, preparations are also being made for the events of the last few days to bring about change for the club.
Because with Rosenior in charge at Chelsea, the player cabal will be reorganized. Who is history, who needs to be brought in – and who needs to be brought back? Aaron Anselmino is a player who falls into the latter category.

Dortmund bring in the Chelsea centre-back on loan for the season. The Argentine talent has only made nine appearances in the Dortmund shirt so far, but is considered an important player to have with him for the rest of the season. Sporting director Sebastian Kehl confirms that Chelsea have baked in a special clause that makes it possible to bring back the 20-year-old in January.
-We are planning with him for the second half of the season. Ultimately, however, it’s a matter of contract design, of course. Chelsea also have, given the situation we were in at the time, certain expectations. I think it makes sense for all parties that Aarón plays for Borussia Dortmund in the second half of the season – to help us, himself and ultimately Chelsea as well,” Kehl told Sky Sports.
Then we will see what Liam Rosenior thinks about the matter, when he unpacks his things in his new office desk at Stamford Bridge.
