Pep Guardiola had zero interest in talking about Oscar Bobb, questions about the Norwegian’s future at City, were met at Aspmyra with: “I have no idea.” What everyone knows is that the 22-year-old has little prospect of playing time at City, especially after the arrival of £62m winger Semenyo. What we also know is that Norway needs a Bobb in the World Cup in five months’ time in top 90+ minutes of match form. We are therefore cheering for a £35 million bid that has been sent to the City management.

According to The Athletic, a sale of Bobb is expected this week, at around £30 million. The hyperactive transfer journalist Romano claims Fulham have made a bid of £35 million.

To us, this seems like an excellent solution. Bobb can continue in the world’s toughest league, because a club on a positive wave, has one of the league’s best managers on the sidelines, Marco Silva – and the best part: In tandem with Sander Berge until the World Cup finals.
