Ninth win in a row, seventh straight clean sheet in all competitions. With Liverpool limping, after a great start before the defeats came in a row, Arsenal are proving themselves as worthy leaders in the Premier League. With Martin Ødegaard as captain and some perfect signings in recent seasons, Mikel Arteta has built a team machine that is no longer content with taking the “first loser’s spot”.

After the win against Burnley with goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice, the Gunners stand with an impenetrable defence, well on their way to challenging Chelsea’s impressive record of just 15 conceded in the 2004/05 season. Alan Shearer is mightily impressed by what Arsenal have delivered in the first 10 league rounds.

-In 2021, Arsenal’s biggest weakness was that they were a bit soft, you could almost bully them. Now you look at the way they can play. If it has to be a fight, then there will be a fight, says Onouha.
